The Olympus PT-EP08 Underwater Housing for OM-D E-M5 Digital Camera is a waterproof case enabling you to shoot beneath the surface with your OM-D E-M5 digital interchangeable lens camera. It has a depth rating of 147.6' (45 m). Mechanical controls enable access to important camera functions.
The housing is constructed from polycarbonate, known for its strength and corrosion-resistant properties. The housing has a bayonet-mounted, interchangeable glass port system. A port is required but sold separately. Port PPO-EP01 accepts the M. ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 9-18mm f/4-5.6, ED 14-42mm f/3.5-5.6 / II / IIR, 45mm f/1.8, ED 75mm f/1.8, ED 60mm f/2.8 Macro, and ED 12-50mm f/3.5-6.3 EZ lenses (lenses sold separately). The 14-42mm requires the PPZR-EP01 zoom gear, while the 14-42mm II and IIR and the 9-18mm all require the PPZR-EP02 zoom gear. Zoom gears are sold separately. When you use the optional Macro Lens Adapter PMLA-EP01 (not included), you can use the Underwater Macro Conversion Lens PTMC-01, which has a 67mm filter thread diameter.
With the optional Port Adapter PAD-EP08 and Port Extension Ring PER-E01, you can use other underwater ports: Lens Port PPO-E04 accommodates the ZUIKO DIGITAL ED 8mm f/3.5 Fisheye, while PPO-E01 fits the 35mm f/3.5 Macro (requires Four Thirds Adapter MMF-3) and PPO-E03 fits the ED 50mm f/2 Macro.
The accessory shoe, located on top of the housing, permits the attachment of a flash or lighting arm (not included). As the FL-LM2 flash, provided standard with the OM-D E-M5 camera, features a wireless flash control function, you can use it during underwater shooting to control the UFL-2 Underwater Flash, in order to improve lighting for your images. The UFL-1 flash is also compatible with the housing. Either of these flashes can be attached to an optional short arm via the Underwater Optical Fiber Cable PTCB-E02.
